2025 Blake Ilitch a Right Handed Pitcher from the University Liggett has committed to Duke University in the ACC. Coming off an action packed summer circuit Ilitch saw his national ranking climb to #30 and is slotted as the #6 RHP in the 2025 class according to Perfect Game.
Kurt '22 and Preston '24 commit to the University of Michigan
Kurt Barr '22 won the Michigan High School State Championship last year as the pitching ace for the University Liggett Knights. A crafty RHP his Fastball, Curve and Change Up trifecta befuddled batters all spring in 2021 and proved impressive to the Big Ten wolverines scouting staff.
Not to be out done, younger brother Preston Barr '24, also impressed in last years campaign, at times coming in relief on the mound for his older brother. A solid hitter and infielder also, Preston as a sophomore on this years University Liggett high school team, who was also heavily recruited, will be a key piece of the Little Caesars 16u National team that will compete at the most prestigious events around the country this Summer.
Oliver Service '23 has been the spark plug for most all of the teams he has played on. A physically strong player, he brings grit , tenacity and passion to the field whether it is behind the plate or in the outfield. An impact hitter, Service powered both his Little Caesars National 15u and his high school University Liggett teams to major success over the past 4 years. Look for Oliver to again lead his teammates as they march toward another Michigan State Championship and more Perfect Game and PBR success in 2022.
Slugging catcher commits to the University of Miami
Hector Roca, the 2024 slugging catcher standout of the 2021 Little Caesars 15u National team, has committed to the University of Miami Hurricanes. Roca consistently impressed at both his high school and Little Caesars National summer events with solid defense and a hot, power bat. The Florida native stays in state and will be back with the Little Caesars 16u National to play the top events in the nation during the 2022 summer campaign.
LC 2021 Fletch Whitley has joined the University of Tennessee Vols.
The 6'5" lefty hurler got the call from Tennessee Head Coach Tony Vitello after throwing a gem last July at the Lakepointe Baseball Complex near Atlanta, Georgia. Whitley a graduate of Saline High School was a team Captain of Little Caesars 17u in the summer of 2020.
Little Caesars '24 Reggie Sharpe has committed to the University of Michigan. Sharpe a shortstop and second basemen by trade also showed his fielding prowess in the outfield for the LC 14u National team in 2020. Coming off of a stellar WWBA and achieving a ranking as the #1 shortstop in Michigan, Sharpe further sent a message by achieving the 109th ranked player position nationally, by Perfect Game.
